"akeeva" (Hebrew) means .... shelter and protection
A place of shelter and protection for families in ministry.
'akeeva place' is designed for and has been used by: pastors and their families, ministry meetings, worship leaders, Sunday school teachers, children's ministry leaders, and Christians within any denomination who are in need of a retreat with time to pray, recover, and seek God's will. The identity of all our guests is kept confidential by the directors. The venue itself also has a low profile in the community.
Our mission is to come alongside Christian leaders and their families to provide support, shelter and protection in times of transition and stress. We also firmly believe that MAINTENANCE VACATIONS prove to be strong times of building and recovery for families in ministry. Where needed, we can also activate support networks to promote their long term health.
'akeeva place' is a non-profit charity and is funded through donations made by churches, foundations, businesses, and private individuals. It is governed by a Board of Directors comprised of 10 individuals from various walks of life. All have had mission and church experience within different denominations and are strongly committed to this venture. You are free to contact us for more information.
We are totally booked until September 15th. 2010.
In the future if you wish to book "akeeva place" , do so at least 3 months in advance.
If an emergency comes up for use it is our mandate to address that as a priority
and cancel leisure stays.
